Rooted in mindfulness

It didn’t begin as a business.
It began as a feeling.

In 2008, with nothing more than passion and belief, a small step was taken — to create a space where children could simply be themselves. A space where they wouldn’t be judged for being shy, but gently encouraged to come forward. A space where movement was not about perfection, but about expression.

At that time, there were very few platforms where children could explore performing arts in a way that nurtured both skill and self-worth. So, we chose to build one.

What started as a humble initiative slowly grew into something much deeper — a journey of transformation.

Over the years, we didn’t just teach dance. We witnessed stories. We saw children walk in quietly, unsure of themselves, and slowly find their rhythm, their voice, and their confidence. We saw hesitation turn into expression. We saw fear turn into courage. We saw children begin to believe in themselves.

And somewhere along this journey, our purpose became clearer than ever — we were not just teaching steps; we were shaping individuals. Today, after almost two decades, this journey has a name — Saksham. Saksham means capable, empowered, strong from within. It is not just a name; it is a reflection of every child who has grown with us. Every smile on stage, every moment of confidence, every small victory — that is Saksham.

As we evolved, so did our vision. We introduced yoga with a deeper understanding of well-being, guided by a simple truth: “Prevention is better than cure.” Because strength is not only physical. It is mental. It is emotional. It is lifelong. Through dance and yoga, we now nurture children to become expressive in their emotions, confident in their presence, balanced in their minds, and, perhaps most importantly, comfortable in who they are. Today, Saksham is not just a place to learn. It is a space to grow, to discover, and to transform.

Our journey continues with the same belief we started with — that every child deserves the opportunity to become their best self.

To become truly… Saksham.
